Lisa Valentine
906 Drive Owner
Lisa Valentine was born and raised a proud Yooper. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Business from West Virginia University. After returning to the UP, she married her husband, Bob, and is very involved in the lives of her three sons. For the past 30 years, Lisa has spent her entire career advocating for kids in many school, county, and state programming efforts. Because of her own children, Lisa is motivated to provide an exemplary service where special attention is given to each student and parents are equipped with resources and knowledge about the licensure process. Her passion drives her quest to keep our communities safe by providing a program that puts safety first through quality instruction.

Melissa Egner
Gladstone Location
Melissa has been a teacher for 16 years. She currently teaches English and Social studies and helps to guide students through graduation requirements. Her passion spills over into teaching driver’s education. She wants her students to succeed in life. Melissa and her husband, Jim, have two adult children, both of which are Air Force Veterans. In her days off, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. -
Jonathan Smith
Gladstone Location
Jon has spent 32 years in public education with 31 of those years being in driver’s education. He currently teaches Social Studies as well as Michigan Outdoor Safety at Gladstone Jr. High. He enjoys working with students and enabling them to be successful in the classroom and behind the wheel. He loves teaching new concepts to his students and seeing their growth as they learn to drive. He and his wife, Kristy, have three adult children and enjoy spending time together as a family. -
Jude Vandamme
Bark River Location
Jude is a retired school teacher and principal. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona, Phoenix. He is married and has 3 children. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and playing golf.

Alex Valentine
Marquette Location
Alex is currently studying for his Bachelors in Civil Engineering. He currently holds an Associate’s Degree in Science from Bay College. He is interested in designing, maintaining, and ensuring safety for drivers on our roads, bridges, and highways. For him, teaching driver’s education is a way to pursue that interest. When not studying, he enjoys being in the great outdoors, hunting, and fly fishing.

Diane Tschirgi
Marquette Location
Diane brings an array of experience to 906 Drive, from teaching history in an inner-city school district, and supporting her children and newly-retired active-duty spouse through eight moves from Alaska, Hawaii, California, and the Great Lakes, to her current job as a substitute teacher in the Marquette Public Schools. She is a veteran in her own right (with 21 years in the U.S. Coast Guard), Diane is pleased to settle with her family in the unique and beautiful Upper Peninsula and guide new drivers into a competent, confident, and courteous driving life.
